Despite its serious and aggressive nature, Razor Spike is much easier on the eye than rolls of razor wire. It has even been allowed in conservation areas.
Razor Spike is manufactured in galvanised steel, but can be supplied with a colour powder coated finish at additional cost. The extremely sharp points and barbs are designed to deter even the most foolhardy, and they can inflict serious damage.
Taiye are aware of the hazardous nature of this product, and so ensures correct installation procedures are used to ensure compliance with the Occupier's Liability Act 1984. This includes:
- A minimum installation height of 2m from the ground, and 2.2m within school grounds
- Fixing to the leading edge of the structure it is protecting
- Installing clear warning signs at strategic points
In case of doubt, please remember Razor Spike is a Secured by Design licenced product with Police Preferred Specification, an officially approved product.
